Lookit: (2010-) Lookit is a quick screenshot sharing tool. It resides in your Linux system tray, and with a click it brings up a set of crosshairs to let you quickly select a region of your screen. The selected area is captured and uploaded to a location of your choice. Then, a URL (optionally shortened) is placed on your clipboard for easy sharing. Currently, both FTP and SFTP are supported, with plans to support additional upload methods in upcoming releases. Lookit can be found at its Launchpad project page:
Deluge: (2006-2007) Deluge is a bittorrent client that runs on Linux, Windows, and Mac OS X. I started the project with a developer I met via Ubuntuforums.org and eventually expanded to include developers from all over the world. The aim of the project was to create a simple, yet full featured bittorrent client for GTK+ environments such as GNOME. The project was implemented using Python and PyGTK, with wrappers around the C++ library, libtorrent. In Summer of 2007, I handed control of the project onto another developer, who continued the project through its eventual 1.0 release. The project is currently being run by Andrew Resch (andar).
